Kimono Wearing

We took a 1 hour journey to Amazuki and participated in the kimono-wearing-festival.

We went with a handful of students from the school.

Sam is the star of the show. Jake takes the role of lead cameraman and backpack-dude

Amazuki is a remote little village. The main attraction is a 400 year old castle. It was the perfect place to walk around in a Kimono.

We enjoy walking around, soaking up all the history and culture Amazuki has to offer.

Of course, who cares about history and culture when there's a Coke Zero within reach?

Great pictures Backpack Dude. So, what is the deal on the Kimono backpack? Can you put stuff in there?

I love that last picture!! Do all the Kimonos have backpack/purses? Looks like you two are having so much fun, Sam how is the language coming?

You two are a super cute couple.

And I love the back of that kimono, Sam! So pretty!

Sam, you look very stylish and beautiful.

Jake, I bet Sam appreciated your talent of holding things. You probably did it very, very well.

And I LOVED the photos. Very nice.

Thank you! Jake is an *excellent* thing-holder, there can be no doubt about it.

Hm... it's not actually a backpack per say, just a huge fancy bow that sits on your back. But! I suppose you *could* store stuff back there, some Oreo cookies perhaps? You'd just have to remember not to lean back when you sit in a chair.

The language is tough, but I learn every day. Today I learned to say things like "I'm planning to write on our blog," so that's useful :)

Hugs to everyone. Thanks for your kind comments. We always love reading them!
