Yakiniku at Loft in Fukuoka

We went to a yakiniku restaurant (where they bring us the raw ingredients and we cook our own dinner at our table) and ordered all-you-can-eat meals (a popular concept in Japan, $24 each at this place). Here's Jake... clearly excited about the niku.

It's a pretty view from our window seat to downtown Fukuoka.

It's hard to see in this picture, but our legs dangled under the floor at this place. That is, the table is at floor level, and our legs go under the table. I'm not sure how Japanese people sit down gracefully in their seats... I had an awkward little moment stumbling down there. Very Japanese.

Since shoes aren't allowed in the restaurant, the lobby has a locker room where you put your shoes while you eat. Here's Jake being full as he retrieves our shoes.

Fun post. Thanks.
PS. Is that your rescued clear umbrella next to the lockers?

I can't imagine the fun in going to a restaurant and having to cook my own dinner. Did you also have to do your own dishes????
